Prospective Families

We would love for your family to be part of our school.  It is a true cooperative, and the cooperation makes our school function, makes it successful, and makes it one of the best communities in Austin.

We encourage you to learn about us and the commitments each family makes to the cooperative:

tours
If you are interested in joining our community, we are happy to answer questions by phone or help you schedule a tour. Call us at 512-454-5315! We recommend touring the school so that when offered a space, you are familiar with our program and ready to respond upon notice of an opening.
Application Process

After you have filled out our waitlist form and submitted the fee, your child will officially be a part of our waitlist. Children remain on our waitlist until accepted into our school, unless parents contact us to remove their child from the waitlist or the child ages out of our program.

Please note: a wait list application does not guarantee admission. Registration begins in January each year and continues until the school is fully enrolled. Placement is made with the following priority levels in mind:

  • currently enrolled children

  • siblings of currently enrolled children

  • co-op alumni

  • new families based on date of application

"The Co-op is such a magical place, we feel so grateful to have been able to send our kids here. The child-led, play-based, outdoor-heavy, respectful philosophy is everything we could have hoped for, and creates such a sweet and caring community. The teachers are incredibly patient, kind, thoughtful, understanding and knowledgeable about child development. Families take turns helping out in the classroom but, truly, I felt I was getting all the benefit out of it, being able to witness how teachers empower kids to resolve conflicts, put their feelings into words and learn how to be part of a cooperative community. Our time at the Co-op was truly a gift and I highly recommend it to families with littles."
